When did Blessed Carlo Acutis live: 1991 - 2006

BIOGRAPHY:
Blessed Carlo Acutis, born in London and raised in Milan, showed a deep love for the Eucharist and an extraordinary talent with computers from an early age. As a teenager, Carlo created a website on which he documented Eucharistic miracles from all over the world. Despite his young age, he lived a life characterised by charity, prayer and devotion to God. He attended mass daily and was known for his kindness towards the needy and his fellow pupils. At the age of just 15, he contracted leukaemia, which he accepted with deep faith. For this reason, he sacrificed his suffering for the Church and the Pope and died in Monza in 2006. Blessed Carlo was beatified in 2020 and is considered a role model for young people and all those who want to live their faith in the digital age.

On 10 October 2020, Blessed Carlo Acutis was beatified in Assisi - a place he greatly revered during his lifetime. Another recognised miracle is required for his canonisation. In In May 2024, the Vatican announced that a possible second miracle through the intercession of Blessed Carlo would be investigated by a specially appointed commission. If this is confirmed, nothing will stand in the way of his canonisation.

Blessed Carlo Acutis is the patron saint of computer scientists, programmers, gamers and young people.
