When did St. Sebastian live: in the third century
Biography:
Sebastian was born at Narbonne and became a soldier of the Roman army in 283. He persuaded Marcellus and Marcus to remain strong in their faith as they were sentenced to death. Furthermore, he converted and cured many. He was named captain of the praetorian guards but nobody knew he was Christian. Finally, it was discovered that Sebastian was a Christian and he was shot to death with arrows. But when a woman wanted to recover his body, she noticed that he was still alive and cured him back to health. Sebastian soon after visited the Emperor to denounce him for his cruelty to Christian which lead to him being beaten to death.
