When did St. Bononius live: 950- 1026
Biography of St. Bononius:
Bononius was originally from Bologna (Italy) and became a disciple of Saint Romuald, who sent him to Cairo (Egypt) to preach and to assist in the building of a few Christian Churches. After a period during which Bononius lived as a hermit in the Sinai, he returned to Italy and was made abbot of the monastery of Lucedio. Here, he reestablished discipline amongst the monks and cared for the inhabitants of the town. He died in 1026 in Lucedio
