When did St. Susanna live: third century

Biography of St. Susanna:
Not many fact are known about the life of St. Susanna. She was born to Saint Gabinus of Rome in the third century and refused to marry Maximian, Diocletian's son-in law. Furthermore, she converted two of Diocletian's court officers who wanted to convince her to marry, to Christianity. This triggered Diocletian's anger and he ordered that she be beheaded in 304. Diocletians's wife Serena, who was Christian herself, buried her in a silver coffin in the Catacomb of Callixtus.

Patronage: Patron saint of Rome, against rain, misfortune and slander.

Statues and woodcarvings made in Val Gardena representing St. Susanna - Representation, Symbol and Emblem: Saint Susanna is shown with a sword, a cross as a necklace, a crown and a book.
