The statue, skillfully carved and painted from Demi Art artists, represents the Saint John Bosco (Italian: Giovanni Melchiorre Bosco; 16 August 1815 - 31 January 1888). John Bosco, who is also called Don Bosco, was an Italian Catholic priest, educator and writer of the 19th century, who put into practice the convictions of his religion, dedicating his life to the betterment and education of poor youngsters, and employing teaching methods based on love rather than punishment, a method that is known as the preventive system. He was canonized by Pope Pius XI in 1934.

Because the statues we list are hand made and painted in Italy by Italian artists, we custom import your statue from Italy for you.  We generally have weekly bulk shipments of statue orders being sent from Italy.  Once you order a statue you can generally expect it to arrive in about 3 weeks, allowing for international and domestic shipping times.
