Biography of St. Matthias:
St. Matthias was one of the disciples of Christ. After the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, he was called to reconcile the number of twelve apostles. There were two indicated: Matthias and Joseph called Barnabas. Divine preference fell on Matthias. Other news concerning his life are contradictory. However, all the sources agree in talkig about him as of a martyr.
