According to the Latin tradition st Agnes was massacred when she was just 12, but in the Hellenic tradition it is said she was murdered when she was an adult. There was a child that tried to violate St. Agnes but dropped dead right away. When asked about the child's death, St Agnes said that a white dressed angel protected her.
