Saint Bruno with Skull Figurine Models
Symbols and Imagery: Represented with a book and skull. Hand carved in Maple wood and hand painted by professional artists. Made in Italy. Bruno of Cologne came from a noble family and became head of the cathedral school of Reims after having completed his studies in the cathedral school of Cologne. Ultimately, he decided to live as a hermit and along with six companions. One of these companions, Hugh of Grenoble, helped him build "Chartreuse", a secluded spot in the wild. There, they built seven barracks where the seven companions lived and often came together for prayer. Later on, Bruno was selected as advisor to Pope Urban II, his former student. He supported him in founding a monastery in Grenoble and one in Calabria.

Biography of St. Bruno:
Bruno of Cologne came from a noble family and became head of the cathedral school of Reims after having completed his studies in the cathedral school of Cologne. But soon he started living as a hermit and met six companions. Especially Hugh of Grenoble helped him getting set up in the wild "Chartreuse", a secluded spot. There, they built seven barracks where the seven companions lived and they often came together for prayer. Later on, Bruno was selected as advisor to the Pope Urban II, his former student. He supported him in founding a monastery in Grenoble and one in Calabria. Bruno died on the 6 Oktober 1101.
