Biography of St. Christina:
According to Catholic tradition, St. Christina was a martyr, whose death is attributed to her father, an officer of the Emperor Septimius. He locked Christina in a tower to force her to convert from Christianity to the traditional faith. The attempt was in vain. Christina was arrested by his father, who inflicted her many tortures. She miraculously survived. Among these there was also the punishment of the wheel under the burning flames. Finally, she was fatally pierced by two arrows.
