Florinus was the son of a Christian Jew and an Anglo-Saxon. He was born in Vinschgau. He was instructed and educated by a priest called Alexander of Ramüs, of which he became successor after having been ordained. It is said that Florinus performed many miracles, under which transforming water into wine. After his death, miracles continued occurring at his grave in the parish church of Remüs.
