Biography of St. Florinus of Vinschgau:
Florinus was born in Vinschgau (South-Tyrol)as the son of a christian Jew and an Anglo-Saxon. He was instructed and educated by a priest called Alexander of Ramüs, of which he became successor after having been ordained. It is said that Florinus performed many miracles, under which transforming water into wine. After his death, miracles continued occurring at his grave in the parish church of Remüs.
Patronage: St. Florinus is patron saint of the Lower-Engadine and the Vinschgau-valley in South-Tyrol
