Biography of St. Henry:St. Henry was born in 972 as the child of Henry, duke of Bavaria. He was educated by St. Wolfgang and succeeded his father as Duke of Bavaria in 995. Only seven years later, he was elected emperor after the passing away of his cousin, Otto III. Henry was a great emperor and had great influence in the spreading of the Christian religion. He often donated to the church and built the Cathedral of Bamberg. His empire was attacked several times during his reign, but he always ended the wars as a winner. Henry died in 1024 at the castle of Grone.
