Patroness of First Holy Communicants
St Imelda was born into a family of Counts named Lambertini. She was born in 1321. She was brought to the Dominican Convent of St. Mary Magdalene in the valley of Pietra as a child.  According to the legend, she was not allowed to receive the Eucharist due to her young age. But miraculously, she received the longed host anyways and died immediately after in 1333. Imelda's relicts are in the church of St. Sigismund in Bologna.
