St Joanna was born to a Baron. She dedicated her life to Christ when she was 10 years old. She dedicated her life to Christ due to an appearance of the Holy Mother to her on Christmas. Unfortunately, she was engaged shortly after to Baron Robert de Silly and married in 1347. Together with her husband, she cared for the sick and poor during the plague. After the death of her husband, she retired in a Franciscan Order in Tours. From 1377 until death, she lived as a recluse. She died in 1414 and was buried in Tours (France).
