Louis was born in 1214 in Poissy, France. He was the son of Louis VIII and Blanche. His father died when he was 12 years old, therefore his mother became regent of the kingdom. Loui married Margaret and soon became King. He was kidnapped during a crusade but was allowed to return a few months later. He died in 1270.
