Saint Nepomuk Statue

This is a very detailed hand carved wood statue. The follow-through in detail is amazing. Sizes less than 22" are carved in Mountain Maple Wood, 22" and up in Linden Wood, holy wood (lt. sacrum lignum). Saint Nepomuk or Saint Nepomucene is usually depicted with the following symbols: halo of five stars, palm, priestly dress, cross, angel indicating silence by a finger over the lips.
