Biography of St. Pantaleon:
Pantaleon was the son of a rich pagan who became a very famous doctor and converted many, including his father, to Christianity. Due to his healing skills, even the Emperor himself wanted him to be his doctor. This period was not a good experience for Pantaleon because the pagan court caused him to completely give up his faith. A very important priest, Hermolaos, converted him back to Christianity. From that day on, Pantaleon was ready to die for his faith. In fact, as the Emperor Diocletian began the persecution of Christians, Pantaleon did never deny his faith and died as a martyr.
