Imagery and Representation: Shown as a monk with a wound and a cross. He holds a book in his right hand and carries a cross around his neck. Hand carved in Maple wood and hand painted by professional artists. Made in Italy. Peregrine Laziosi was born in Forli, a small city in Italy in 1260 and strived for a political career. During an uprising the Pope sent St. Philip to negotiate with Peregrine Laziosi. During negotiations, Peregrine struck Philip in the face. Surprisingly, instead of striking back, Philipp offered him the second cheek. This action impressed Peregrine so much that he was instantly converted to Catholicism. Later on, he had a vision and joined the Servites in Siena, then moved back to Forli. When he was diagnosed with cancer and amputation seemed the only solution,  he spent the night before the operation in prayer. The next day, he was miraculously healed.

This St Peregrine Lazoisi Figurine is available in various sizes and finishes.
