Saint Peter of Verona Figurine Models protected by Law.

Imagery and Representation: shown as a Dominican friar with a knife, book and wound on his head. Hand carved in Maple wood and hand painted by professional artists. Made in Italy. Peter was born in 1205 in the Italian city of Verona to heretical parents. He was nevertheless educated at a Catholic school and later attended the University of Bologna. During his studies, he entered the Dominican Order and developed into a great preacher. In 1234, he was appointed inquisitor of Northern Italy. Peter of Verona was murdered by members of a heretical sect in 1252 while returning from Como and canonized one year after, despite his parent's belief.

Patron Saint of inquisitors, midwives, Como, Cremona, Lombardy, Modena, women in childbed, brewers in Cologne. Against head diseases, thunderstorms, lightning and storms.
