The bible describes St Simon as one of the Lord's brethren. He followed his brother James after his death, and became the bishop of Jerusalem. The Christians followed Simon after the civil war broke out to a town called Pella where they found rescue. They returned to Jerusalem where the city was destroyed and the church began to flourish. Many Jews began to convert to Christianity. St. Simon was brought before Atticus and accused of being a Christian, and later crucified.
