Patroness of Rome, against Rain, Misfortune and Slander
Not much is known about Saint Susanna. She was the daughter of Saint Gabinus of Rome in the third century. She refused to marry Maximian, Diocletian's son-in-law.
Furthermore, she converted two of Diocletian's court officers who wanted to convince her to marry, to Christianity. This triggered Diocletian's anger and he ordered that she be beheaded in 304. Diocletians's wife Serena, who was Christian herself, buried her in a silver coffin in the Catacomb of Callixtus.
