BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Uriel is one of the four archangels mentioned in apocryphal texts. His name means "Light of God" or "Fire of God." In Christian tradition, he is often regarded as the angel of wisdom, prophecy, and divine enlightenment. He appears in various religious texts and legends as a guide leading people to truth and a protector of the saints. Some traditions associate him with guarding the souls in purgatory, while others venerate him as the angel of repentance and conversion. His veneration was widespread during the Middle Ages but was later removed from the official saint calendar of the Church.

The wooden figure of St. Uriel portrays him as a powerful angel with golden wings. He wears a red and blue robe, symbolizing his heavenly authority. In his right hand, he holds a long, jagged lightning bolt, signifying his power over fire and divine retribution. His facial expression is serious yet wise, and his gaze is directed downward.
