St Waltraud was born into a family of the Merovingian royal line from which many saints have come. She married Count Vincente Madelgarius and had 4 children; St. Landricus, St. Medelberta, St. Adeltrud, and ST. Dentelin. Once her children were all grown up, she got separated from her husband and founded benedictine abbey church of Sainte-Waldru, where she is still remembered nowadays.
